Ajman, or Ujman is the smallest member state of the United Arab Emirates, with an area of just 260 square kilometres.

Ajman, located a short distance northeast of Sharjah has a beautiful 16 kilometer stretch of white sand beach. It is a small emirate in terms of physical size, covering about 259 kilometers, which is equivalent to 0.3 % of the country total area, excluding the islands.Located along the Persian Gulf, it also controls Masfut and Manama, two small, inland enclaves that are primarily agricultural. The population of approximately 235,000 is located mainly in the capital, Ajman. The population was only 36,100 in 1980 but grew considerably in recent years, due to an influx of people from the neighbouring emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, and other countries.

It is presently ruled by Emir Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi. The Crown prince of the Emirate is Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. His directions have led to massive development and a construction boom in Ajman in the recent years.

History of the Ajman
On 8 January 1820, Sheikh Rashid ibn Humayd Al Nuaimi signed the General Maritime Treaty with Britain, accepting a protectorate to keep the Ottoman Turks out. Like four of its neighbours, Sharjah, Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah and Umm al-Qaiwain, its position on the route to India made it important enough to be recognized as a salute state (be it of the lowest class: 3 guns).

On 2 December 1971, Sheikh Rashid ibn Humayd Al Nuaimi joined the United Arab Emirates The Golden day of the history of Ajman was, 6th Zilhajjatil Haram 1427. Aqa Maula (TUS) with Azeem karam and Ehsaan inaugurated the “Hakimi masjid” in Ajman. Maulana presided over Zohr Asar namaz and presided over majlis and performed Waqaf of the masjid.

Maula(TUS) yeh bayan ma farmayu ke, " Ajman na mumineen ne aa masjid ma Imam Husain(AS) no matam karvano hukum karu chu.Aqa Maula TUS ye farmaayu ke "Aa Masjid Nafees ane Jameel bani chhe".

Aqa Maula TUS gave the name of 'Masjid ul Hakimi' to the Ajman masjid after Syedi Abdul Qader Hakimuddin Saheb AQ.This masjid has been built at the land of the old Markaz where during Huzurala’s Safar in 1983 the Jamaat of Ajman had the Sharaf of Ziyafat. This is the same place where Aqa Maula (TUS) prayed the
Shahadat of Imam Husain (AS) also prayed namaaz for taiseer umur al Mumineen during the 1410 Safar.

The masjid was built overcoming many difficulties with the Ehsan and Dua Mubarak of Aqa Maula(TUS)
